Photo above is illustrative. It comes from a different Ultimate Coach Dufourfun has listed and is not the $124,900 van described here.
Our current listing for a 2022 Ultimate Toys Ultimate Coach at $124,900 shows 69,000 miles and is described as "Used, like new." The listing doesn't have photos or a VIN posted yet, so the best first step is to ask for a viewing and the documents below.
Is 69,000 miles a lot?
Sixty-nine thousand miles is a meaningful amount to evaluate, but mileage alone doesn't tell you whether a van is a good buy. A coach driven steadily on highways and serviced on schedule can be in better shape than a low-mileage van that sat. What matters is how the miles were put on and how the van was cared for.
What to verify
- Service records. Ask for maintenance history on the chassis and, separately, on the conversion.
- VIN and history report. The FTC's guide to buying a used car from a dealer explains the Buyers Guide, vehicle history reports and why to get promises in writing.
- Open recalls. Run the VIN through NHTSA's recall lookup before you commit.
- Conversion systems. Seats, lighting, entertainment, power, climate and any custom electronics should all be tried in person.
- Wear items. Tires, brakes and batteries are normal costs at this mileage; know their condition up front.
- Independent inspection. The FTC recommends one, and for a converted coach it's worth it.
Chassis warranty vs. conversion coverage
| Mercedes chassis | Ultimate Toys conversion | |
|---|---|---|
| Who covers it | Mercedes-Benz, under its terms | The upfitter or seller, if any |
| 2022 powertrain terms | Up to 5 years/100,000 miles, whichever first | Separate, if offered |
| What to confirm | In-service date, VIN, exclusions | Written terms, transferability |
Mercedes' 2022 warranty booklet lists powertrain coverage up to 5 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. That doesn't mean this specific converted van still has it. Coverage depends on the actual in-service date, the VIN, equipment and exclusions. Mercedes' maintenance and warranty page has current general details. Any coverage for the conversion itself is separate and should be in writing.
