Indy 500 week is not one event. It is a run of days — practice, qualifying, Carb Day, Legends Day and the race — and every one of them asks the same question: how is everyone getting there, and back, together?
The photo above is an illustrative Dufourfun-owned luxury van cabin. It is not Indianapolis Motor Speedway, an IndyCar event, or affiliated with either.
The confirmed 2027 schedule
According to the official IMS season schedule, checked October 20, 2026:
- Practice begins Tuesday, May 18, 2027.
- Qualifying runs Saturday–Sunday, May 22–23.
- Miller Lite Carb Day is Friday, May 28.
- Legends Day is Saturday, May 29.
- The 111th Indianapolis 500 is Sunday, May 30, 2027.
For hosts, IMS also lists premium and group options for clients and guests. Tickets, suites and hospitality are purchased from IMS — not through a van.
Recheck the operational details closer to May
The current IMS parking page and gate regulations still reflect prior-year operations at the time of writing. Treat any parking dates, traffic patterns, gate times and cooler rules you see there today as last year's, and recheck them before the 2027 event.
To be plain: owning a luxury van provides no tickets, parking privileges, tailgating rights or affiliation with IMS or IndyCar. What it provides is a better ride for the people you bring.
Why one van fits Indy week
1. One plan instead of five
Separate cars mean separate departure times, separate parking decisions and a group text that never ends. One van means one meeting spot and one departure. Everyone arrives at the same moment.
2. Room for the race-day load
Sunscreen, seat cushions, rain layers, chargers, a cooler where it is permitted — a race day carries more than people expect. A cabin with real storage keeps it off laps and out of the aisle. Confirm current gate regulations before deciding what leaves the van.
3. The ride home is the best part
After hours of heat and engine noise, a quiet cabin with assigned seats and a designated driver turns the exit into a recap instead of a scramble.
4. Built for repeat years
Indy is an annual tradition for many families and businesses. The same van that handles May also handles client dinners, airport runs and holiday trips the rest of the year — that is where ownership earns its keep.
If you are hosting
Guests need to know one thing: where to meet. The host handles the driving plan, and the time in the van becomes real time together — often the part guests remember.
