1. Choose the mission
The current Strada-ion page describes a 2027 AWD Class B on a Sprinter 3500XD 170-inch extended high-roof chassis. Grech publishes Lounge and Tour plans with up to eight or seven seats and sleeping for two.
The Ultimate Coach page presents family, corporate, and travel use with up to ten seats depending on layout. That passenger-first design can better suit airport trips, client transport, sports travel, and day itineraries where sleeping and a shower are not priorities.
2. Compare usable seats
Sit in every expected position, inspect aisle access, and verify certified travel seats. Test child seats, mobility needs, swiveling, and luggage. A lounge seat may reduce cargo access; a rear lavatory may reduce luggage room.
3. Decide whether you need RV systems
Strada-ion’s mission includes cooking, water, plumbing, and a wet bath, supporting camping while adding systems to winterize and service. Ultimate’s model comparison describes passenger amenities and available lavatories. The optional XL rear lavatory is not a shower. Overnight self-containment favors Grech; higher day-passenger capacity favors Ultimate Coach.
4. Audit power by model year
Grech’s Power Max page describes a 51-volt, 20.48-kWh system for specified 2027 models. Do not project that backward to every used Strada-ion. Confirm chemistry, usable capacity, inverter, charging, solar, HVAC assumptions, and warranty for the VIN.
Ultimate Coach electrical equipment varies. Obtain the build sheet and test shore power, inverter outlets, HVAC, controls, and parasitic loads. We found no basis for claiming one universal battery capacity.
5. Verify weight and clearance
We did not find reliable current manufacturer-published payload for both exact conversions. Inspect the certification label and obtain a loaded weight ticket including people, water, luggage, and accessories. Measure roof equipment, mirrors, rear step, and turning needs against your garage and destinations.
6. Read two warranties
Grech publishes a three-year/36,000-mile conversion warranty, subject to terms. We could not verify equivalent current Ultimate Coach conversion-warranty terms from reviewed primary pages. Request them in writing. Mercedes-Benz chassis coverage is separate from conversion coverage.
Editorial recommendation
Choose Strada-ion when sleeping for two, an RV wet bath, galley, and off-grid systems are non-negotiable. Choose Ultimate Coach when premium day travel and more passenger positions matter more than a shower. Load both with your actual people and luggage. No pricing, inventory, payload, performance, warranty coverage beyond cited terms, or model-year equipment is implied.
